Vevan Dairy-Free Cheese Alternative is Crafted by Artisan Cheesemakers

Smack dab in the heart of cheese country, Vevan Foods is producing vegan slices and shreds with a focus on authenticity. The founders think everyone should be able to enjoy classic melts, stretchy nachos, and gooey mac and cheese that are as tasty and satisfying as the “real thing.” That’s why they created three varieties of Vevan dairy-free cheese based on the traditional flavors of mozzarella, cheddar, and pepper jack.

OKAY FLAVOR BUT DOES NOT MELT LIKE REAL MOZZARELLA

    Rated 2 out of 5
    January 27, 2023

I am not impressed with the Vevan “cheese”. Although the flavor of the mozzarella is okay and is on par with the other gluten-free and dairy-free alternatives out there, IT DOES NOT MELT LIKE REAL MOZZARELLA. When I tried to melt it in the oven and the microwave, the consistency came out EXACTLY like a REALLY CHEAP PROCESS CHEESE. NOT stringy or stretchy like a real mozzarella. Given the higher price point compared to the other cheese alternatives like Good Planet, I will not be buying this product again.

We use the fine shredded cheddar on Cincinnati style coneys and it is SPOT ON! No waxey taste or feel here. Just trying to find locally which is hard.

    Tastes like real cheese!

My mum just bought this for me from the US, can’t find it in Canada yet. I had to double check that it was vegan after I tried it because it tastes soooo much like cheese!! I’ll definitely be writing numerous emails to grocery stores and stockists to get this on the shelves around me. Violife was my favourite before this. Not sure how I’ll go back to that because it’s nothing compared to this.

My favorite cheese on the market!

This is BY FAR the best sliced and shredded cheese on the market. Even my friends who eat dairy, love this brand. It melts perfectly and tastes way better than any vegan cheese I’ve ever had.
