    For their Power Your Lunchbox Program, Produce for Kids has whipped up dozens of family-tested lunchbox ideas. And each one is approved by a registered dietitian. Not all of their ideas are dairy free, but most are easy to adapt, and they provide so much wonderful inspiration. For a sample, they recently shared their Banana Sushi Rolls recipe with us, and today it’s a Brown Bear Bento Snack Box!

    Brown Bear Bento Snack Box with Rainbow Fruit Salad for School-Time Fun

    If your bento box has additional compartments, you can also add 1 tablespoon hummus or dairy-free dressing and three mini sweet peppers, sliced into strips.

    Serves: 1 snack box
    Ingredients
    • 1 tablespoon sunflower seed butter, soy butter, or pea butter
    • 3 graham cracker squares (gluten free, if needed)
    • 3 banana slices
    • 9 blueberries
    • Fresh colorful fruit, chopped (such as raspberries, cantaloupe, pineapple, honeydew, blueberries, and blackberries)
    Instructions
    1. Spread the peanut butter or school safe option on the graham crackers and place them spread side up in a single layer in a bento box.
    2. Place the banana slices and blueberries on top of the nutty butter to create eyes and noses that resemble bear faces.
    3. Put the colorful fruit In another compartment of the bento box to create a rainbow fruit salad.
