So Delicious Almond Milk Creamer was discontinued, but they still make So Delicious Coconut Milk Creamer and So Delicious Oatmilk Creamers. For almond specifically, look for Silk Almond Creamer, Almond Breeze Almondmilk Creamer, Natural Bliss Almond Milk Creamer, or Califia Farms AlmondMilk Creamer.
Creamers have certainly come far from the “non-dairy” creamers filled with chemical ingredients and, believe it or not, dairy! Those impostors still sit on the shelves of most grocers, but as the “truly” dairy-free demand grows, so do the natural options. The latest is Almond Milk Creamer from So Delicious Dairy Free. Their Coconut Milk Creamers have been wildly popular, but I guess they thought “Why stop there?”
Tasting Notes for So Delicious Almond Milk Creamer
Since I’ve never been a coffee drinker, creamer isn’t a luxury that I typically use. But for a proper review, I sampled it with English Breakfast black tea. Tony also lent us his thoughts since he does drink coffee and isn’t opposed to the addition of dairy-free creamer.
Original
I expected it to be a little thicker, but the very fluid, relatively creamy consistency of this almond milk creamer was perhaps a touch more indulgent than 2% milk – for comparison purposes. Though, 1 tablespoon (the serving size) is virtually fat-free. Fortunately, it flowed perfectly into my hot tea, with no separation. It barely even needed a stir to completely disperse and create a milky beverage.
When tasted straight, the Original Almond Milk Creamer has a gently sweet flavor with a nutty finish. Honestly, I think it would be quite pleasant added to smoothies or over oatmeal for a little extra splash of creaminess. In my tea, the sweetness was quickly muted by the bold tannins, though the creamy aspect did help to mellow the harshness a bit.
French Vanilla
The French Vanilla had more of the dessert-like flavor that I think of with traditional dairy creamers. Made natural vanilla flavor, rather than pure vanilla extract, which has a more “refined” food taste. Nonetheless, it is a powerful match for the mightiness of black tea and coffee. Tony proclaimed that no added sweetener was even needed, it was “perfect” as is.
For those who enjoy the Coconut Milk Creamer from So Delicious, I sampled the French Vanilla of each type, side by side to compare. The coconut just barely edges out the almond milk creamer in sweetness and thickness. And the almond milk creamer still has that telltale, slightly nutty finish.

...if this is the type of review that dairy-free creamers are getting...
I don’t think I can do it. I can’t go vegan. I’ve tried so many of these. None adds even a similar flavor as I’m used to from adding a teaspoon of cream to my coffee each morning. I keep trying…. I’ve been so good about “well, this is the only cuppa you get, so you drink it or….” But so far, it’s just been a lot of perfectly good wasted coffee..which is sort of the antithesis of trying to go plant-based for ecological reasons. There’s gotta be better- this is like watering down your coffee with peanut water .
Non-dairy creamer hits the mark
Not as thick as expected, but this somewhat rich dairy alternative adds body and a smooth finish the second it submerges into a hot beverage. The Original is mellow, focusing more on milkiness, while the French Vanilla is hyper-sweet, doing double duty for milk and sugar.

I put this is a black (chai) tea and it curdles? Usually i use silk almond creamer and have never had that problem with the same tea. gross.
Not good. I’ve noticed that the creamers are more hit and miss since going carrageenan-free.
So Delicious makes many fine products, but this is not one of them. As another reviewer said, you would have to pour half the carton in your coffee to change it to a lighter color. I tried this product recently as it was on sale and my coffee was awful every morning I used this product. Can’t get back to my favorite non-dairy creamer that actually works (one tablespoon lightens & sweetens a mug of coffee perfectly) quickly enough–Organic Valley Soy Creamer in french vanilla.
If you prefer the soy creamers, tapiola, then you might try Wildwood or Silk brands.

I agree completely, I got the new almond milk version because that is all that was in the store, and I was SO disappointed with it. I am going to be sick if the other stores I shop at do not carry the original coconut milk version anymore.
I have to say, I am not impressed with this as a creamer. I tried using straight almond milk as a creamer and it didn’t work…I was excited to try this, but it ended up being exactly the same as using regular almond milk. In coffee, it doesn’t make any impact to the taste and barely changed the color….I would have to pour more than half the carton in my cup to make a difference, and by then you’ve made the coffee cold….I used what was left of the carton in my smoothie and will stick to actual creamer for my coffee. Same deal with the coconut creamer
What a bummer, but thanks for sharing your thoughts Tara! Yes, it isn’t a condensed type of creamer, but we did find it richer / more full-bodied / more flavorful than almond milk in coffee and tea. Hopefully your holy grail of dairy-free creamers appears!
Thanks for the review! I will definitely try it. I have tried the coconut one, but didn’t really like it.
Love this almond milk creamer, cannot live without it!
Hi my daughter is just had enough of coconut milk, coming from full fat cows milk in the past with all it’s creaminess for her cereal !!! Which so delicious product would you recommend? What are the cultured milk products like?I have just seen they even do a cashew nut milk – have you tried this?
Thnx
Yes, we have reviewed the cashew milk and many other dairy alternatives (yogurt, milks, etc.). See our thoughts in the reviews: http://www.godairyfree.org/dairy-free-product-reviews/dairy-milk-alternative-reviews (they are listed alphabetically).
SO glad they finally came out with an almond milk version. I hate coconut and my gallbladder can’t digest it, and I don’t like pumping my body with soy in beverage form. I’m diehard almond milk, so I might have to pull out a buck from the piggy bank and try this out!
