Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt Shops are Sweet on Dairy-Free & Vegan Customers

    0
By Alisa Fleming on February 1, 2022 Dining Out, Suggested Restaurants, U.S. Restaurants

Updated February 2022! Orange Leaf hasn’t become adventurous with creamy dairy-free flavors like 16 Handles, or into probiotic dairy-free froyo like TCBY. But they are quite vested in fruity dairy-free flavors. Orange Leaf swirls all types of classic and special edition sorbet flavors (froso?), and usually offers complimentary toppings to match.

Dairy-Free Menu Guide to Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt Shops

Orange Leaf Dairy-Free & Vegan Menu Guide

Orange Leaf often partners with products like Jolly Rancher and Sour Patch Kids to create unique dairy-free flavors. The availability of these can be limited time only, but some do return. Below is a complete list of flavors that you could find at Orange Leaf. But on any given day, at any location, they usually have just one or two of these sorbet-like vegan flavors.

Other Allergen & Dietary Notes: All of the Froyo flavors listed below are made without egg, gluten, nuts, peanut, and soy (most do contain coconut). All items listed below are also vegan-friendly, unless otherwise noted.

    Froyo Flavors

    • Blueberry Lemonade (seasonal)
    • Cherry Lime Splash (seasonal)
    • Dairy Free Cherry
    • Dairy-Free Coconut (when available; regular coconut froyo contains milk)
    • Dairy Free Lime
    • Dairy Free Mango
    • Dairy Free Strawberry
    • Dole Lemon
    • Dole Orange
    • Dole Pineapple
    • Jolly Rancher Blue Raspberry
    • Jolly Rancher Green Apple
    • Lemon Bar
    • Pink Lemonade (seasonal)
    • Raspberry Lemonade
    • Sour Blackberry
    • Sour Raspberry
    • Spa Day Sorbet

Heads Up! At the time of our review, all of the above were also vegan friendly, and made without top allergens. And remember, the flavors rotate! You should see one or two of these at your local Orange Leaf on any given day.

    Acai Bowls

    • Create Your Own

Heads Up! Their acai base is made with acai, bananas, and almond milk. See the toppings list below for options. We are still confirming if the granola and/or chocolate chips are made without milk.

    Toppings

    • Strawberries
    • Banana
    • Blueberries
    • Kiwi
    • Pineapple
    • Raspberries
    • Maraschino Cherries
    • Strawberry Boba
    • Mango Boba
    • Pecans
    • Peanuts
    • Crushed Oreo
    • Toasted Coconut Flakes
    • Sour Gummy Worms (not vegan)
    • Sour Patch Kids
    • Gummy Bears (not vegan)
    • Peanut Butter
    • Regular Gummy Worms (not vegan)
    • Reese’s Peanut Butter Sauce

More Options: Each location has over 30 toppings, which can vary by location. Most shops will have more dairy-free options, just ask!

Heads Up! If your nervous about cross-contamination on the toppings bar, most locations will get fresh, unopened toppings from the back on request.

    Smoothies

    • Berry Tropical (Almond Milk)
    • Orange ‘N’ Cream (Almond Milk)
    • P.B.S. (Almond Milk)
    • PB&J (Almond Milk)
    • Strawberry Pina Colada (Almond Milk)
    • Strawberry Surf (Almond Milk)
    • Sweet Sunrise (Almond Milk)
    • Triple Berry (Almond Milk)
    • Tropical Twist (Almond Milk)
    • Wild Mango (Almond Milk)

Dairy-Free Swap: The smoothies at Orange Leaf are made with fruit and vanilla frozen yogurt. You can request to swap dairy-free sorbet or almond milk (as noted above) to make them dairy-free and vegan-friendly. At the time of our review, most varieties were dairy-free with this substitution. See below for the exception.

Heads Up! Orange Leaf lists the Protein Power smoothie as milk-free when made with almond milk (on their allergen chart and in their ingredient info), but it contains whey protein (milk protein).
