Dairy-Free Diet Recommended for IBS

Dr. David Dahlman, medical director of the Hyde Park Holistic Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, has developed a comprehensive program targeting Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).  His recommendations are geared toward elimating or greatly reducing IBS symptoms via a natural approach.  He addresses the various causes of IBS and introduces "The Three Big Dietary Rules," which include:

  1. 100% avoidance of milk and dairy products during treatment
  2. Cut gas causing legumes during treatment
  3. Getting enough water and at the right times

Dr. Dahlman goes into much more detail on these topics in his free program download entitled, IBS: How to Become Symptom Free.

IBS symptoms may include pain and discomfort, bloating and abdominal distension, alternating diarrhea and constipation, abnormal bowel frequency or urgency, indigestion, GERD, and gas.

According to Dr. Dahlman, a typical treatment protocol for Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis would be similar in nature to this IBS treatment.  Visit Dr. Dahlman's Website for more information and for the free download.
