Amazing Grass Kidz Superfood is a Healthy Supplement for All Ages

By Alisa Fleming on April 27, 2010 Product Reviews, Product Reviews: Supplements and Skincare

My husband and I have sampled several of the Amazing Grass GreenSuperfood varieties, along with the the Kidz Superfood flavors, and quite frankly, we love all of them. They are packed with 30 wholesome fruits and veggies in each powdered serving, and can be added to smoothies, or simply a cool glass of water.

Amazing Grass Kidz Superfood is a Healthy Supplement for All Ages

Some adults and most kids will probably favor the Amazing Grass Kidz SuperFood selections as they are a touch sweeter. Unlike the “grown-up” Amazing Grass SuperFood powders, the tiniest bit of cane sugar is added to the Kidz SuperFood.

    Berry Blast

I like this flavor mixed with just water for a post-workout reward. It is just sweet enough for those heightened taste buds and it dissolves nicely. But it’s also good as a smoothie supplement, adding a little to the taste and sweetness.

Amazing Grass Kidz Superfood Powders contain 30 fruits and veggies - reviews and info - dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, plant-basedIngredients: organic cane sugar, organic inulin (agave fiber), organic greens blend (wheat grass, barley grass, alfalfa grass), natural flavor, organic oat fiber, organic carrot, organic yumberry juice powder, fruit and veggie blend (beet, sweet potato, pinto bean, cabbage, butternut squash, tomato, kale, asparagus, green pea, zucchini, orange, pineapple, tart cherry, mango, raspberry, cranberry, plum, purple grape, kiwi, blueberry, guava, apricot, pomegranate, brussels sprout, green bean) fruit and vegetable juice for color, organic guar gum, apple pectin, citric acid, organic broccoli, organic spinach, stevia leaf extract, silica.

Nutrition (per scoop): 20 calories, 0g fat, 5g carbs, 2g fiber, 2g sugars (includes 2g added sugar), 0g protein.*

    Outrageous Chocolate

Unlike the Berry, the chocolate needs more than just water, in my opinion. For best results, I add it to full blown smoothies or shakes, like the Healthy Chocolate Smoothie or Peanut Butter Protein Shake.

Amazing Grass Kidz Superfood Powders contain 30 fruits and veggies - reviews and info - dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, plant-basedIngredients: organic cane sugar, organic soy milk powder, organic greens blend (wheat grass, barley grass, alfalfa grass), natural flavor, organic cocoa, FOS (fruictooligosaccharide from chicory root), organic carrot, organic oat fiber, alkalized cocoa, fruit and veggie blend (beet, sweet potato, pinto bean, cabbage, butternut squash, tomato, kale, asparagus, green pea, zucchini, orange, pineapple, tart cherry, mango, raspberry, cranberry, plum, purple grape, kiwi, blueberry, guava, apricot, pomegranate, brussels sprout, green bean), organic spinach, apple pectin, organic broccoli, organic guar gum, salt, silica. contains soy.

We really like these! They are less of a supplement than Amazing Grass “grown-up” Green SuperFood powders, and more of a natural whole food juice or smoothie “booster.” They are just mildly spiked with prebiotics and have a pleasant sweetness.
