Sadly, the entire original Chobani Non-Dairy line, made with coconut, has been discontinued. But, they’ve moved forward with their dairy-free oat-based line. You can still get Chobani Oat Yogurt Cups and Chobani Oat Yogurt Blends.
Despite releasing a new non-dairy line, Chobani is staunchly against using dairy terms like “milk” and “yogurt” on dairy-free products. This isn’t a debate that I would typically weigh in on, but Chobani has failed to address one major thing. If you don’t call it yogurt, what do you call it? They’ve simply slapped the name “Chobani Non-Dairy” on all of their dairy-free products, no matter what they are. I think we either need some new terms, or people will simply call Chobani Non-Dairy Cups, “yogurt,” whether they like it or not.
The Founder and CEO of Chobani, Hamdi Ulukaya, says the Non-Dairy Chobani “isn’t a replacement to dairy, but it’s a game-changer for plant-based products.” He then proceeds to call them “coconut purees.” Sorry Hamdi, but I don’t think “purees” is going to catch on. However, I do think many people will be very happy to purchase your non-dairy “not yogurt” in the yogurt aisle, and enjoy it just like they would yogurt (with granola for breakfast), for the same reason as yogurt (probiotics).

Chobani Non-Dairy Cups are Coconut-Based “Yogurt,” We Think
Like yogurt, Chobani Non-Dairy Cups are cultured, and they contain 6 types of live and active probiotics. They’re also creamy, spoonable, and perfect for enjoying with fresh fruit or other toppings. And they’re carrageenan-free, lower in sugars than most dairy versions, and sweetened solely with cane sugar. But they aren’t fortified, so they are lighter in protein and calcium than traditional dairy yogurt.
We’ve yet to sample each flavor, but leave your own rating and review to tell us what you think of them!

Too coconut-y for me, Great with granola
I’m not big on coconut flavor, I tried this “yogurt” because my husband really likes them. If I add granola to it, it takes away a bit of the coconut taste. I would never be able to eat it without granola. Without it, it just tastes like strawberry sunscreen to me haha I haven’t tried the other flavors, but my husband likes them all.
Fave
I have tried the plain as well as the strawberry and I am hooked. I haven’t had any texture issues at all but I did notice these require a little bit more stirring than other brands. The first time I tried it I got weirdly emotional for some reason..? Reminded me of homemade coconut yogurt I had forever ago in Hawaii!
So Good
My whole family is obsessed with this yogurt. We like the vanilla and strawberry flavors the best. It is very “soft” in texture, which is fine with us, and the taste is great. I have been eating these regularly for 2 months & have never had an issue with a gritty texture like other reviewers have said. Not sure what that could be but I have always found it to have a super smooth texture. I seriously can’t even eat regular dairy yogurt anymore after trying this.
Fantastic option for allergies
oftentimes non dairy yogurts have nuts in them which is a secondary allergy for me. I haven’t personally cared for the other yogurts I’ve tried that have met my needs. I loved this one at first bite. I tried the blueberry flavor. My son also enjoyed it.
LOVE
I had the “Slightly Sweet Plain” and it is excellent. The bar is pretty low because all the other non-dairy yogurts I’ve had have been really gross. But this isn’t good for being non-dairy, it’s just good. I haven’t tried the flavored ones yet and I don’t think I want to. I’ll stick to the plain and add my own berries/toppings.
Too sweet
I tried the blueberry flavor and it is just too sweet. The sweetness of the coconut with the added sugar is overpowering, compared to the taste of dairy-based Chobani yogurts. The consistency is also a little watery/gooey and less creamy than I thought it would be.
Loved it
I really enjoyed the strawberry flavor
Love the texture!
GOOD FLAVOR BUT GRITTY
THE FLAVOR IS GOOD FOR THE MOST PART HOWEVER I CANT GET PAST THE GRITTY TEXTURE. IVE TRIED EVERY FLAVOR AND END UP ONLY EATING A FEW BITES BEFORE CHUNKING IT IN THE GARBAGE JUST BECAUSE I CANT GET PAST THE TEXTURE. I STILL REMAIN HOPEFUL WITH EACH ONE I OPEN. UGH
Strawberry was very good.
If you re used to the dense yogurts this might be hard for you to recieve but after eating it you will be amazed at how tasty this is. I’m not a fan of coconut but this surprised me. Wish is was a pinch less sugar but base on the natural sweetness I can handle this. I will make it a part of my breakfast and will try putting some in my smoothies as well.
Stick with Slightly Sweet Plain
Tried a variety of flavors and felt all were far too sweet until I tried “Slightly Sweet Plain.” Found that the taste mildly resembled that of Greek yogurt. Didn’t try vanilla, but curious to know if it’s similar and less sweet than the fruiter flavors.
