CoYo Dairy-Free Kefir is Simply Organic Probiotic Coconut Milk

By Alisa Fleming on August 7, 2019 Dairy-Free Creamy Beverage Reviews, Dairy-Free Yogurt Reviews, Product Reviews

Australian brand Coyo has already gained fame worldwide as one of the purest producers of dairy-free yogurt alternatives. Now the company is poised to tackle the healthy drinks category with the launch of non-dairy kefir beverages. Coyo Dairy-Free Kefir promises enhanced gut health from probiotic cultures in a range of very natural flavors.

Coyo Dairy-Free Kefir Information and Reviews / Ratings - vegan, pure, natural, gluten-free, soy-free, and so rich!

Coyo Dairy-Free Kefir is Simply Organic Probiotic Coconut Milk

You can’t get any closer to a homemade recipe than these cultured beverages. Like the brand’s yogurt, they’re richer than your average alternative and free of any funny business. Please note that certain flavors are available in only select countries. I’ve included notes based on the company’s websites. If you get the chance to try Coyo Dairy-Free Kefir in any flavor, please to leave a rating and review below!

    Natural

This is their most basic variety that contains just coconut milk, a little starch, and cultures. It’s sold in the U.S., Great Britain, and possibly other parts of Europe.

Coyo Dairy-Free Kefir Information and Reviews / Ratings - vegan, pure, natural, gluten-free, soy-free, and so rich!Ingredients – organic coconut milk, (coconut extract, water), organic tapioca starch, probiotic cultures: b. bifidum, b. lactis, l. acidophilus, l. casei, l. delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus, l. rhamnosus, streptococcus thermophilus. kefir culture. Contains: coconut

Nutrition Facts (per 8-ounce serving): 310 calories, 29g fat, 10g carbs, 3g sugars, 2g protein

    Vanilla

This lightly sweetened, pure vanilla bean-infused flavor was only available in the U.S., at last check.

Coyo Dairy-Free Kefir Information and Reviews / Ratings - vegan, pure, natural, gluten-free, soy-free, and so rich!Ingredients – organic coconut milk, (coconut extract, water), organic vanilla bean paste (organic natural vanilla bean flavor with seeds, organic sugar, organic inulin, gum tragacanth), organic tapioca starch, probiotic cultures: b. bifidum, b. lactis, l. acidophilus, l. casei, l. delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus, l. rhamnosus, streptococcus thermophilus. kefir culture. Contains: coconut

Nutrition Facts (per 8-ounce serving): 240 calories, 21g fat, ??g carbs (not listed online), 5g sugars (including 3g added sugar), 1g protein

    Mango

Like the Vanilla, this is a U.S. only flavor, but unlike the Vanilla, it doesn’t contain added sugars. But we expect that the mango concentrate adds a nice sweet-tart flavor.

Coyo Dairy-Free Kefir Information and Reviews / Ratings - vegan, pure, natural, gluten-free, soy-free, and so rich!Ingredients – organic coconut milk, (coconut extract, water), organic mango concentrate, organic tapioca starch, probiotic cultures: b. bifidum, b. lactis, l. acidophilus, l. casei, l. delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus, l. rhamnosus, streptococcus thermophilus. kefir culture. Strawberry

Look for this flavor in Europe. It’s listed on their U.K. website and seems to be sold in several EU countries. Because this variety isn’t available in the U.S., the wording and nutrition facts are listed with European customers in mind.

This stuff is amazing and versatile. I’m not even ashamed to say one of my favorite uses for it is as a substitute for egg whites in cocktails- it makes a MEAN gin fizz. But it’s also just delicious on its own. I have only seen it at one store in Knoxville, TN, and we no longer live there. Trying to find it in Minnesota and failing at the moment.
