As of 2022, Enjoy Life Crispy Grain & Seed Bars have been discontinued. However, Enjoy Life still makes their allergy-friendly Chewy Bars and Breakfast Ovals.
Enjoy Life has been producing allergy-friendly snack foods for as long as this site has been around. And they never stop innovating. Their latest creation is the Enjoy Life Crispy Grain & Seed Bars product line. The initial launch includes four flavors, all sold in boxes of five individually-wrapped, snackable bars. Two of the flavors have also been launched in larger singles.
In typical Enjoy Life fashion, all of the Enjoy Life Crispy Grain & Seed Bars are made in their allergy-friendly facility. They are vegan-friendly and free of dairy, eggs, gluten, wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, sulfites, and sesame.
Enjoy Life Crispy Grain & Seed Bars are also touted as palm oil free and plant protein packed. Compared to many of the pumped up bars no the market, “packed” might be an overstatement, but they do offer a nice balance of nutrients. The small bars have 120 calories, 4 to 5 grams fat, 1 to 2 grams fiber, and 4 grams protein. They also have just 4 to 6 grams sugars, despite being on the sweet side.
The larger bars are roughly double size, and hence, about double the nutrients. They also have a very wide, and still relatively thick format, which is very fulfilling. And honestly, I think the two sizes are pure genius. One is a great little snack, the other is a satisfying breakfast on the go.
Tasting Notes for Enjoy Life Crispy Grain & Seed Bars

All of the Enjoy Life Crispy Grain & Seed Bars have a gently crispy, slightly chewy texture that is very cohesive without being the least bit sticky. I love this aspect! Because they use slightly soft rolled oats, rather than quick oats, these bars do have a little firmer, slightly more “stale” chew than your typical granola bar. I would love it if they swapped in gluten-free quick oats instead.
Banana Caramel (also available in larger single-serve size)
I wouldn’t have guessed banana or caramel at first, but the flavor of this bar is very pleasant. The banana eventually emerged in random bites as soft, chewy dried banana. Overall, it’s a nicely sweet bar with a unique, almost white chocolaty flavor, thanks to the cocoa butter. I’d love a little bump in the salt (it’s low sodium) for flavor contrast and to help bring out those caramel notes. But it was still pretty tasty as is.
Ingredients: organic rolled oats, rice protein crisps (rice protein, rice starch), tapioca syrup, cocoa butter, pearled sorghum crisps, organic caramel (organic cane sugar, water), date paste, brown sugar, dried banana, roasted and salted sunflower seeds (sunflower kernels, sunflower oil, salt), safflower oil, white pearled sorghum flour, popped sorghum, flaxseed, natural flavor, vanilla extract, rosemary extract.
Nutrition (per 1-ounce bar): 120 calories, 5g fat, 18g carbs, 1g fiber, 6g sugars, 2g protein.*
Maple Sweet Potato
I loved the flavor of this bar. It’s just lightly sweet with warm hints of maple and a slight sweet potato underpinning. I wouldn’t have guessed sweet potato if I hadn’t known the name (I mean, who thinks to make a sweet potato bar?). But knowing it was in there, I could taste that veggie love.
Ingredients: organic rolled oats, tapioca syrup, rice protein crisps (rice protein, rice starch), pearled sorghum crisps, cocoa butter, maple syrup, roasted and salted pumpkin seeds (pumpkin seeds, safflower oil, salt), date paste, brown sugar, flaxseed, white pearled sorghum flour, dried sweet potatoes, popped sorghum, safflower oil, natural flavors.
Nutrition (per 1-ounce bar): 120 calories, 4.5g fat, 18g carbs, 1g fiber, 5g sugars, 2g protein.*
Cranberry Orange
These have a neat pink-ish hue and a bold orange scent. The flavor held up the image with a very zesty citrus kick and tender dried cranberries throughout. It had a pleasant sweetness that isn’t sugary and is more “snackable” than many bars.
Ingredients: tapioca syrup, organic rolled oats, rice protein crisps (rice protein, rice starch), sweetened dried cranberries (cranberries, cane sugar, sunflower oil), cocoa butter, pearled sorghum crisps, date paste, brown sugar, roasted and salted sunflower seeds (sunflower kernels, sunflower oil, salt), roasted and salted pumpkin seeds (pumpkin seeds, safflower oil, salt), flaxseed, safflower oil, white pearled sorghum flour, popped sorghum, dried beet powder (artificial coloring), vanilla extract, blood orange oil, rosemary extract.
Nutrition (per 1-ounce bar): 120 calories, 4.5g fat, 18g carbs, 1g fiber, 5g sugars, 2g protein.*
Chocolate Marshmallow (also available in larger single-serve size)
These enticing bars offer a mild semi-sweet chocolate goodness with a gentle marshmallow underlying flavor. I’m guessing most people will order this flavor first, but I wouldn’t necessarily skip over the others. These are the lightest in flavor.
Ingredients: organic rolled oats, tapioca syrup, pearled sorghum crisps, rice protein crisps (rice protein, rice starch), cocoa butter, roasted and salted pumpkin seeds (pumpkin seeds, safflower oil, salt), semi-sweet chocolate chips (cane sugar, unsweetened chocolate, cocoa butter), date paste, brown sugar, flaxseed, white pearled sorghum flour, popped sorghum, safflower oil, natural marshmallow flavor and other natural flavors, natural cocoa powder, vanilla extract, rosemary extract.
Nutrition (per 1-ounce bar): 130 calories, 6g fat, 17g carbs, 1g fiber, 5g sugars, 2g protein.*

Good snack options
The Maple Sweet Potato was my clear favorite for flavor. The Cranberry Orange was a delicious second. The Banana Caramel and Chocolate Marshmallow were good, but both needed a pinch of salt or some other flavor boost. The bars are chewy and crispy, which is nice, but I think quick oats would be better than the rolled oats for a more pleasant bite.

I need to try these! They seem like the perfect afternoon snack and I love all the varieties!
Thanks for sharing! These look great!
I haven’t tried any of these yet, but I have used a lot of the Enjoy Life products and love them. I’d love to try these bars, starting with the cranberry orange! (I’m sure my kids would vote to try the chocolate marshmallow first.)
I LOVE the sweet potato one too! and I haven’t tried the cranberry orange – I think that one would be my favorite.
It’s surprisingly zesty!
I’m an Enjoy Life lover, thanks for sharing these bars! I would love to try these flavors, maple sweet potato sounds awesome.
I love that they’re gluten free and vegan and that they have some nice looking flavors, but what’s the sugar count on them? That’s the stuff that adds up and can turn a healthy snack into a dessert.
Hi Kelly, I included sugar info in the post above, but it’s in the writing – so a little mixed in there 🙂 They are 4 to 5 grams for the smaller bars, 9 to 10 grams for the bigger bars. So not really low sugar, but definitely not on the high side compared to other brands. I know what you mean! I like bars, but try to keep the added sugars down.
