Gay Lea Coconut Whip Sprays it on Thick in Original and Pumpkin Spice

    0
By Alisa Fleming on October 24, 2021 Dairy-Free Dessert Topping Reviews, Product Reviews

A few years ago, Gay Lea Real Coconut Whipped Cream quietly snuck onto store shelves at mainstream grocery stores in the U.S. and Canada (it’s an Ontario company). Since then, this refrigerated, soy-free, and vegan spray whip has become a secret weapon for many dairy-free consumers, when making traditional dairy-free pies, fruit parfaits, and other desserts. And now, without notice or fanfare, Gay Lea has released a seasonal Pumpkin Spice version of this popular whipped topping.

Dairy-Free and Vegan Whipped Cream Round Up - All of the Brands You Can Buy (tubs, spray, and whip-it-yourself) plus homemade recipes!

    Does not freeze .

Gay Lea is the only coconut whipped topping that did not freeze on me. I recently purchased Friendly Farms and tried to spray the topping on to some fresh fruit. It was already frozen. I know they tell us to run hot water over the can, but that has not worked for me. I intend to return this can to Aldi in Kingwood TX. I wish Aldi wuld get Gay Lea back ASAP.

I literally don’t know why people don’t talk about this more. I buy it three cans at a time. It’s legit coconut-flavored whipped cream. The only thing is that it runs out soooooo fast. Love it.

    Awesome!

I have always loved coconut and so was so excited to find this at TJ’s. However, during Covid-19, I don’t go to stores and occasionally friends will go and buy me 3 cans of this at a time. If I want a treat or if I’m anxious, I spray a small amount of this on a spoon. The first spoonful just makes my whole body relax. I usually end up taking 3 small teaspoonfuls and have to stop at that, or I will run out as I did tonight.

Just purchased this wonderful new product at Aldi. Coconut flavor is real and no strange after taste. Looking forward to finding the toasted marshmallow.

As a heads up to others, the Toasted Marshmallow flavor is not dairy free.
