Hilary’s Eat Well Veggie Burgers could be the World’s Healthiest Patties
We’ve tried a couple varieties of Hilary’s Eat Well Veggie Burgers, and I’ve included my tasting notes with the corresponding flavors below. Both were pleasantly firm, and crisped up on the outside when grilled, sauteed and even toasted.
World’s Best
Ingredients: cooked whole grain millet* (water, millet*), kale* and/or spinach*, expeller pressed oil* (canola* and/or sunflower* and/or safflower*), sweet potato*, potato starch*, ground flaxseed*, sea salt, apple cider vinegar*, dried onion*, granulated garlic*. *organic.
Nutrition (per burger): 120 calories, 5g fat, 15g carbs, 2g fiber, 0g sugars (includes 0g added sugars), 2g protein.*
Hemp & Greens
This was the first variety that I tried and the one I ended up purchasing again. It was a hands down winner for me with just enough flavor, a tender bite, and a wonderful nutty, grainy, and veggie vibe overall. My only complaint was that it is a little dry between a bun. But I did love it on salad or simply with veggies and sauce.
Ingredients: whole grain cooked millet* (water, millet*), kale* and/or spinach*, expeller pressed oil* (canola*, and/or sunflower*, and/or safflower*), potato starch*, ground flaxseed*, hemp seed*, sea salt, hemp protein powder*, apple cider vinegar*, dried onion*, thyme*, granulated garlic*. *organic.

Southwest Adzuki Bean
I still loved the texture: crisp on the outside and tender but still firm on the inside. However, this one lacked the wow factor in terms of flavor. It’s very mild and even slightly lackluster; my taste buds had to hunt out the hints of spice. Nonetheless, it’s filled with an array of nutritious ingredients, is relatively light with a good balance of fat, protein, and fiber, and has zero grams of sugar.

Organic veggie burgers
These beyond wholesome, organic veggie burgers are made with the best quality, allergy-friendly, plant-based ingredients and have every “pure” certification known to the natural food industry. In terms of taste, the Hemp & Greens truly won me over with its wonderful flavor and crisp-on-the-outside texture. It was just a little dry for bun delivery and the premium price may be warranted for the quality (and a special treat!), but is still way above our weekly convenience budget.
