Nona Vegan Sauces Bring Rich and Creamy Flavors Home

0

There are a few creamy vegan sauces on the market, but none quite like Nona Vegan Sauces. Their original Alfredo is made from a time-tested Italian family recipe with a super-rich cashew base and all natural seasonings. The second ingredient in their Cheesy style is actually concentrated carrot juice. And they are the first company (as far as we know) to launch a vegan Carbonara style sauce. Here is a quick review video I put together for Nona Vegan Sauces, followed by all of the pertinent details!

Nona Vegan Sauces Bring Rich and Creamy Flavors Home

Nona Vegan touts their sauces as “pourable,” but we beg to differ. In my video above the scoops on the pasta show the gently warmed sauce with no alterations. While the “pourable” sauce over the broccoli is actually thinned nearly 50/50 with water! Not that I’m complaining. It’s the perfect consistency for dipping, and if you want a sauce or even a soup base, it will last you even longer. When thinned, I opted to add a little more salt and spice.

These are VERY thick. We actually thinned them with half water to get more of a thick sauce, so they go further than you might think. The flavors were good, but needed a little more salt (even when not thinned) and they use a heavy hand with garlic. The carbonara is unique, with little bits of vegan “pancetta” in it.
