Collagen is gaining mainstream popularity, but it’s somewhat of an under-loved protein in the dairy-free community. Most protein powders marketed to us are purely plant-based. We rarely hear about the other options, like collagen. It’s known for supporting healthy skin, hair, and nails, and is rich with amino acids. In terms of taste, it’s a bit plain on its own, but it works well as an ingredient, and Primal Kitchen Collagen Drink Mixes make it more interesting with a range of flavors.
Primal Kitchen Adds Seasonal Fuel to their Collagen Drink Mixes
Their line up always includes some staple “Fuels” and they rotate in flavors, like Snickerdoodle for the holidays. We’ve also included their “Latte” mixes in this post. They are similar by ingredients, but boosted with tea and sold in smaller canisters.

Quality product
I tried the Snickerdoodle which did smell remarkably like snickerdoodle cookies! The flavor is also there, but the monk fruit sweetener is notable in the aftertaste. I’m not a big fan of alternative sweeteners, so it’s a little strong for me as a straight up drink, but in smoothies, it’s nice, and the collagen adds some body (and nutrition!). I could see using it in recipes, too.
