SkinnyPop Popcorn now in Dairy-Free Cheesy, Collagen, and Holiday Flavors

    0
By Alisa Fleming on November 18, 2019 Dairy-Free Snack Reviews, Product Reviews

Updated in 2022! Years ago, when they first launched, SkinnyPop Popcorn was dairy free. They’ve since added some “real cheese” and “real butter” flavors, but they continue to cater to dairy-free and vegan consumers with enticing varieties.

During the holiday season SkinnyPop’s dairy-free Gingerbread Cookie and White Chocolate Peppermint descend on store shelves. But long after the New Year, you can still get several dairy-free popcorn flavors, including their latest additions: Sweet & Salty Kettle and Twist of Lime.

In 2015, SkinnyPop went public as a part of Amplify Snack Brands, but in late 2017 they were gobbled up by Hershey’s. Consequently, you can now find their bags of popcorn in nearly every store. But some flavors are easier to find than others! Here are all of the dairy-free options to date. Leave your rating and review below and tell us which flavors you’ve tried!

    More Allergen Notes*

None of the dairy-free SkinnyPop Popcorn labels that we viewed have a “may contain” statement, and they do label these products as dairy-free, gluten-free, peanut-free, and tree nut-free.  Here is what they have to say about allergens in their facilities.

Some of our facilities process soy, wheat, fish, shellfish, and dairy – that’s why we’ve always been and continue to be committed to using FDA and industry standard cleaning techniques before producing any SkinnyPop products and we keep our ingredients separate from others within our facilities.

    Kernel korn

    Rated 2 out of 5

The past year been noticing more and more UNpopped corn. So I weighed 3 oz unpop corn out of 14 oz bag. Too much and will stop for a while. Like anything else companies start chincing as they get cocky. Too bad.

Flavor was OK. Right amount of salt, but found the popped kernels small and with to many hulls while eating.

I have only had the dairy free cheddar. I enjoy the taste although the cheese aspect is slightly muted. You can tell it’s there but I would like to have more.

Skinny Pop Dairy Free Cheddar Popcorn

    Rated 1 out of 5
    November 19, 2019

I wish the Skinny Pop Dairy Free Cheddar Popcorn would use nutritional yeast instead of natural non-dairy cheddar flavor for the dairy free cheddar flavor. I tried this flavor before and I didn’t think it had the best non-dairy cheddar flavor at all. This is from an adult who use to be able to eat dairy until 2018 when she kept getting sick from eating it and in 2019 making both of my ears full get full of earwax.
