A couple years ago, So Delicious reformulated their coconut milk yogurt to remove the carrageenan. The new recipe had some textural issues, but it seems they have smoothed things out. So today I’m updating our post with their most recent packaging, ingredients, nutrition facts, flavors, and more. This is our reader-rich format, so that you can get all of the information you need and leave your own rating and review below!
Tasting Notes for So Delicious Dairy Free Coconut Milk Yogurt
I love the packaging of this yogurt – even the single serves. They stack easily and have a lower profile for shorter shelves and drawers in the refrigerator, and the “eco-friendly” tops can be closed easily – if you don’t rip it when opening (which does happen!).
For me, this is a good staple dairy alternative. I’ve been buying the plain unsweetened So Delicious coconut milk yogurt for many years. It works well in sweet and savory recipes, is allergy-friendly (for recipe testing), and it takes well to sweeteners. I prefer just adding a little of my own sweetener to taste, as most yogurts contain more sugar than my stomach can handle in the morning. Some brands of unsweetened dairy-free yogurt really don’t meld well when sweetened at home, but this one is seamless whether I use stevia or honey. But please do leave your own review below! It helps others make an informed purchasing decision.

Amazing!
My dermatologist recommended that I cut out dairy due to skin issues, so I bought this instead of Greek yogurt and Its delicious! Definitely will buy again.
Plain vanilla so good
I enjoyed the plain vanilla yogurt it wasn’t too sweet or bitter it was just right. The texture was smooth and perfect. I ‘ll continue enjoying it while it stays in market. Thank You for making an alternative yogurts.
Yummy!
I am trying a low FODMAP diet due to IBS issues and this yogurt seems to be on the okay list. I do buy the flavored brands. I am going to try the unsweetened ones and add fruit to it so an even healthier version. I think the fruit flavored ones are so yummy! The consistency is very thin but I just drink them! Then towards the end I use a spoon to get the remaining yogurt on the bottom. I find these filling for a breakfast or snack added with a piece of fruit and/or KIND bar.
Fits a low-fiber diet
I’m on a low-fiber diet. temporarily and lactose intolerant, so this fits the diet. However, why eat a no-protein, no-nutrition food? Is there some food value I’m missing?
As for the product: when I opened the top, it had separated, but quick whisk fixed that. The plain tastes slightly coconuty and sweet. I put some mango juice on top, and it was a fine breakfast for my needs.
Response from Go Dairy Free
We’re not affiliated with the brand (or any food brand), but to answer your question, the nutrition merits for this product are: probiotics, calcium, vitamin B12, plant-based fats (many like to consume coconut for MCTs).
Chunky stuff?
Third time now this yogurt has this cleat chunky stuff in it, almost like gelatin or something?? Never had a problem until recently, and I used to love this yogurt. I am disappointed and grossed out; it is really unappealing!
Love the unsweetened vanilla coconut yogurt
I add wild blueberries, kiwi, cacao nibs, and a touch of honey and even though it tastes like dessert, it is super healthy with no cane sugar or high fructose corn syrup. This helps me say no to donuts, cake and cookies which I can’t have due to M.S. So thank you to the So Delicious company 🙂
delicious
I tried the strawberry banana and it’s delicious. It’s like baby banana food but more sweet and dessert-y. I agree with the scratchy throat feeling but I get that from pecans and coconuts( so make sense). I can’t wait to try my peach flavor. To me this is more as a treat than a breakfast option.
I'm rather surprised
I had to go dairy free for health reasons and I’m not a fan of the taste of coconut though I have to say I’m impressed that So Delicious unsweetened vanilla has a very faint taste of coconut. It wasn’t overpowering as I thought it would be. I am glad they took the carageenan out as it’s toxic and very low in sugar. The only issue I have with this yogurt is that it was a bit thin, watery in texture. I’m used to very thick, Greek type dairy yogurts but this was a great surprise for being a dairy free alternative. I would buy again and I will. Thanks for a decent product.
Love This!
I eat the vanilla every day with unsweetened coconut flakes and nuts/seeds/craisins. It is a delicious snack or breakfast/lunch.
Love this Yogurt
As someone who is both lactose intolerant and diabetic the unsweetened is wonderful especially when mixed with frozen fruit, stevia, and extract.

Seems all these comments are older, but I’d like to leave my update. I’ve been getting this (unsweetened and the sweetened vanilla) when I can find them as they tend to sell out quickly. I love the silky texture mouth feel. I bring a small tub of it to work each day (I scoop out from a large one at home) and when at work add my self-blended granola. Great pick me up for “brunch” hour at work. I’ve never had an issue with a change in texture. I had unsweetened plain yogurt last week because I couldn’t find this – and boy – the difference turned me against yogurt! lol The coconut milk “yogurt” is light and blends well as a “carrier”for my granola. The real yogurt was heavy and had the yogurt tang to it that seemed to fight the flavors of my granola.
Thanks for sharing your review Terry! Helpful insights and aI agree with you – it’s still a staple dairy-free yogurt for me, especially the unsweetened.
Just tried your wonderful coconut blueberry yogurt! And as I was savoring, an ad came to me (and THAT never happens). As I am wearing an outfit that perfectly matched your blueberry flavor, I imagined a person, dressed
as I am, pleasurably spooning mouthfuls of the treat in her/his mouth, when a drop finds its way onto their shirt (close up). No voice over, just words that say something like:
“It so perfectly matches you.
So Delicious coconut yogurt.
should the chocolate version be curdled?, it doesn’t look like the plain or vanilla?
You stirred it and it’s curdled? If so, I would contact the company about it!
My husband is on dialysis and cannot have dairy, so this may be the thing for him. I need to know if this contains any phosphorous.
You’ll want to check http://sodeliciousdairyfree.com/ for that information.
I am trying to consume Cold pressed organic unrefined coconut oil in foods. Desired daily dosage 3 Tbs per day. I do not find the amount of coconut oil in the coconut products per serving. Can you inform me about the yogurt, milk, unsweetened frozen dessert? Thanks!
I have no clue Tanis! I wouldn’t imagine that it is much at all. But you should contact the company directly to find out -> http://sodeliciousdairyfree.com/ I’m not affiliated with them.
Tastes okay, but it smells funny, as if it was spoiled. Very offputting
Yikes! It might have been then. This can happen with yogurt. Did you contact the company Miss Kiki?
I find that this product is still ‘too commercial for a dairy alternative” It is difficult to make coconut yogurt taste like dairy yogurt and why would you, is my question… If you’ve ever tasted Anita’s Yogurt, you would see that with coconut yogurt made with only 3 natural organic l ingredients, the texture will vary and that’s ok.. To try to make the texture consistent with a dairy process is unnatural. What is more, adding vanilla flavor is adding MSG. Adding any Natural flavors is adding MSG. So-Delicious you can do better.
That looks like a great product. Thanks for sharing Nancy!
So many of these yogurts contain inulin which I can’t seem to digest. Did they remove the inulin from their formula as well?
I don’t see inulin in the ingredients for these. They have all ingredients listed with each product here -> http://sodeliciousdairyfree.com/product_groups/dairy-free-yogurt-alternatives
