Steve’s was scooped up by Dean Foods after they filed for bankruptcy in 2017. They have since dissolved the brand. For currently available alternatives, see our Dairy-Free Ice Cream Guide.
Steve’s is one of those “under the radar” brands that has gained quite a cult following. Lately, their presence online has been minimal. But a packaging redesign and new wave of creative flavors tells us that Steve’s Dairy Free Ice Cream is still busy innovating. Not to mention, I just saw some of these great flavors in store.

living in S. Calif, cant find it again
Found your delicious Steve’s Cinnamon and Coffee ice cream at Grocery Outlet. But they are not carrying it anymore. Just a one time, we love the ice cream.
It also says Whole Foods sells it which is a drive for us. Does Ralph’s or Albertsons or even Vons sell this delicious ice cream here in S. Calif?
YUMMMMM love it
Wildflower Honey Pistachio
this is now one of my go to bed time snacks! a few spoonfuls of this and I am completely satisfied. the honey swirl is simply perfect! I love it!!
Needs more caramel
Thank you for making a great dairy free selection! I’m reviewing the Chocolate Salty Caramel and Passion Carnivale … I love love love caramel, and chocolate .. however I must’ve gotten one that missed the caramel in the Chocolate Salty Caramel, sadly it was like eating plain chocolate .. however the Passion Carnivale was refreshing and yummy .. a little more caramel would be good but it was still yummy. I wish there was a 3.5 …
If you can eat cookies. Add one to the Blueberry Lemon Ice Box Cake
There is another flavor in my freezer, this review is for the Blueberry Lemon. It’s very good, especially, if you add an Oreo Vanilla cookie to the product for the extra crunch. I also made an ice cream float with ginger ale.
Once I ran out of cookies, the lemon flavor was still there. There is a cake or a cookie texture blended into the ice cream. I taste more lemon, than blueberry.
Burnt sugar vanilla
Being lactose intolerant for years I’ve tried a number of lactose free ice creams. This is by far the absolute best! No odd after taste just pure delicious flavor. Congratulations on a terrific product. Would like to see this product in more stores
OMGoodness!
I just discovered Steve’s Moroccan Mash Up and it is SO much better than I expected. I am going back for more! Ibotta lovers- get $2 back + a bonus on 2 separate purchases. I have started adjusting my diet further recently, and am so happy I ‘discovered’ this ice cream in my local Pricerite. Thank you Steve’s!
Stevie’s Ice Cream Review
This is from an adult female who has tried some of the flavors of Stevie’s dairy free ice cream that is and/or was sold at Publix where I worked at. Most of the flavors I tried, including the one based off the cookie spread made with Biscoff cookies did not taste very good to me at all. The only flavor, liked was the Blueberry Lemon Ice Box Cake, because I could taste both blueberry and lemons within the ice cream along with cake pieces and/or cake flavor as well. This is also coming from an adult female who has tried a lot of different flavors of Dairy Free Ice Cream that is sold at Kroger and Publix where I live at here in Tucker, GA.
