Last year, I posted this amazing Mini Vegan Cheesecakes Recipe for you, and shared the news that Treeline had released a cream cheese alternative. Since that time, they have opened an online store (yes, dairy-free cheese to your door!), redesigned their packaging, and now added new flavors. Treeline Cashew Cream Cheese now comes in dairy-free Plain, Strawberry, and Chives & Onion – each with simple ingredients.
Treeline Cashew Cream Cheese Spreads it on Thick in 3 Vegan Flavors
When I initially shared this product, it was a bit hard to find. But now it’s gaining distribution in stores and, as mentioned, you can order it online. Which means no more “I can’t find it” complaints!
And would you believe that this dairy-free cream cheese alternative contains ONLY 5 ingredients. The base is cashews and water, seasoned with a little sea salt and lemon juice, and cultured with probiotics for a healthy depth of flavor.
Below is full information on their latest plant-based product, Treeline New York Style Cashew Cream Cheese (you can read more about their dairy-free Hard Cheeses here or Soft Cheeses here).Plus, you can rate and review this product at the bottom of this post once you try it!

Loved by many
We included this cream cheese alternative in a taste test. It was a top pick and 6 out of 7 tasters said they would buy it again (included dairy-free people and dairy eaters). It tastes a lot like homemade cashew cream cheese alternative, which means it isn’t spot on for cream cheese, but it is tasty overall and helps fill the cream cheese void. The chives and onion was a favorite with smoked salmon and would probably be great in recipes. The strawberry had mixed reviews – one really liked it, a couple thought it was good, and a couple weren’t fans (two people didn’t try it).
The best I've tasted yet!
I like the Treeline Cashew Cream Cheese better than any of the other brands of dairy-free cream cheese I’ve tried. It is creamier and richer-tasting (with the added benefit of the probiotics in it).
The containers seem small, but I am amazed at how far one little container goes!
Creaming the Competition
Easily one of the best cream cheese options currently on the market. Short of making it yourself, you won’t find anything that tastes fresher, and still there’s no chance of getting that same smooth texture.
