I don’t usually post simple nut butters, but Base Culture Almond Butter is worthy of sharing. It’s pure and natural, with no added oils or funny stuff, and comes in several flavors that help make dairy-free living interesting. Each variety has a rustic texture, that’s ground to a coarse-creaminess. It’s also very thick and substantial. They offer an Original, made with just almonds, and four other varieties that are gently salted, spiced, sweetened, and/or enriched with wholesome ingredients.

My favorite almond butter!
Almond butter isn’t cheap these days, but I was surprised that this brand was so competitively priced. The quality far exceeds the other almond butters I’ve tried. I love the rustic creaminess and how fresh it tastes. They need just a little more salt for my taste (the original is unsalted) so I add a few pinches when I first stir it together. I haven’t tried the gingerbread yet, but that is top on my list to try next.
