Magnum Non-Dairy, known as Magnum Vegan outside of North America, is once again making headlines. These dairy-free ice cream bars originally launched in 2018. In 2020, they added a Sea Salt Caramel flavor. And to kick off this new year, Magnum has unveiled two new non-dairy options: Hazelnut Crunch Bars and Minis. The minis include six little bars, three Classic and three Almond.
Magnum Non-Dairy Ice Cream Bars Dip into More Vegan Flavors
Magnum’s Vegan and Non-Dairy ice cream bars are made with a vegan ice cream that isn’t straight up coconut. It’s a creamy emulsion of coconut oil, pea protein, and sweetener to let the vanilla, caramel, and nut flavors shine. The crackly outer shell is a Rainforest Alliance Certified non-dairy chocolate. Hazelnut Crunch
This sweet and salty treat contains dairy-free hazelnut ice cream, a salted caramel swirl, and a chocolate dip dotted with caramelized hazelnuts.
U.S. Ingredients: water, sugar, glucose-fructose syrup (wheat, corn), cocoa butter, chocolate, coconut oil, hazelnut, less than 2% of: fructose, pea protein, cocoa powder, sunflower lecithin, hazelnut oil, sea salt, guar gum, locust bean gum, natural flavor, citric acid, caramel color, mono and digylcerides. contains hazelnut and wheat. may contain other tree nuts and soy.*

Sea Salt Caramel
Unlike the other two, this flavor is made with a sea salt caramel dairy-free ice cream that’s dipped in a vegan milk chocolate shell.

Almond
This is essentially the same as the Classic, but the chocolate coating is filled with crunchy almond pieces.

A vegan vanilla ice cream is enclosed in a rich robe of sweet non-dairy Belgian chocolate.

More Allergen Notes & Country Variations
These frozen dessert bars are called “Magnum Vegan” in countries outside of the U.S., but “Magnum Non-Dairy” in the U.S. And the ingredients do vary just a little in other countries. For example, wheat is not listed in the U.K. ingredients, but a “may contain” warning for milk is. Nonetheless, they’re made without dairy ingredients in both countries. I saw these in the store the other day and decided to give them a try. I usually purchase So Delicious vegan ice cream sandwiches and these are less expensive. They were really good!

Just tastes like sugar and water
I have had numerous non-dairy ice creams, mainly sorbets/coconut cream based ones so i had that expectation of quality of and flavour. I bought these expecting to taste like creamy vanilla and chocolate, but gross! Just tasted like frozen syrupy diluted milk and water…never ever again. I recommend Halo tops dairy free ice creams, they taste really good. But this one was not pleasant to try, we chucked the rest in the bin, no one in my family liked it. :S

They are amazing. Easily the nicest non-dairy ice cream I’ve ever tried. Have recommended them to all my friends. I haven’t tried sea salt caramel yet but the other two are perfect. I would go as far to say they are better than normal magnums!!!

Smooth and tasty. I’ve only tried the vanilla variety as that is what is available. Be prepared when you bite into the bar that the chocolate coating breaks off very easily. YUM!
