Springfield Creamery, the makers of Nancy’s Probiotic Foods, is a family owned Eugene, Oregon company that was founded in 1960. They are dedicated to their dairy product lines, but have also catered to dairy-free customers for years. Their Soy Yogurt was discontinued a few years ago, but they replaced it with a full range of non-dairy Nancy’s Oatmilk Yogurt. And this summer, they’ve decided to completely revamp their oatmilk line. It has a new look and a brand new recipe, with several ingredient changes.
Nancy’s Oatmilk Yogurt Transitions to All New Formula and Packaging
What are the changes in Nancy’s Oatmilk Yogurt? The company swapped the faba bean protein for chickpea protein, down-sized ever so slightly from 6 ounces to the standard 5.3 ounce singles (the multi-serves are still the same size), increased the coconut oil for a richer (and higher fat) consistency, and replaced the agar with gellan gum for thickening. But don’t worry, it’s still dairy-free and soy-free, contains live and active cultures, and has 30 to 50% less sugar than the leading plant-based yogurts (and many dairy yogurts).

More Allergen Notes
These yogurts are made without top allergens, and do not have a “may contain” statement for any allergens. The container we purchased actually had dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, and soy-free listed right on the package. However, they are made on shared equipment with dairy (we’re assuming yogurt). They do not specify certified gluten-free oats on the ingredients online, but it looks like they do on the containers. Double check in store and with the company, if needed.

Not Bad....
I bought vanilla flavor and the taste not too bad. I would buy it again and ought to try blueberry. The vanilla only has 7g of sugars.
Sooooo SOUR
The Vanilla I tried, for the first time, smelled & tasted very sour. Wasn’t sure if it was spoiled. Can yogurt spoil? Expiration date not expired. Smooth runny texture. Added a lot of cinnamon, some ginger and stevia to it for a better flavor. Hoping it doesn’t upset my stomach . . . . . at this point it’s wait and see. Probably won’t purchase again.
Tried Two and Hated Two
I tried the blueberry and the strawberry hibiscus, and they both taste terrible. The texture is nice and that’s the only positive thing I can say about this yogurt. I had such high hopes but am so sorry I wasted my money.
Unpalatable
The blueberry is utterly disgusting. I do not recommend it.
An acquired taste
I got the plain unsweetened, and like many others, I questioned whether it had gone off because it smelled rancid from the start. The texture is very nice for a non-dairy yogurt and I hoped that it smelled worse than it would taste. It does, but not by much. It actually tastes kind of yeasty-metallic to me. Perhaps one of the flavored ones would be a better choice for those who don’t want a pungent, sour and yeasty-flavored yogurt.
Tummy Troubles
I suffer from severe stomach pain and discomfort. I’ve taken probiotics and don’t usually feel much of a difference. I’ve had a constant stomachache for the past 10 days. I tried this last night and this morning was the first time in a while I’ve woken up to no tummy ache. The taste is not the greatest (tastes like yogurt with crushed vitamins)but I’ve never really liked the taste of yogurt anyways but it’s not unbearable plus if it continues to help my stomach, I don’t care about the taste.
I'm not sure if it's supposed to taste rancid
I’ve never had it before. The flavor is supposed to be strawberry hibiscus. It hasn’t expired, but it tastes so foul, I’m not sure if it’s spoiled. It also has a stinky feet smell.
Vanilla and Blueberry- Yum
Love yogurt and needed to find a dairy free yogurt that did not have double digit sugar added. I found both Blueberry and Vanilla taste great.
Best nondairy yogurt I've found
Best part is that it’s not nauseatingly sweet…just 7g in a cup of vanilla. It also has the “right” creamy texture woth the right tang at the finish.
Not gritty or gloppy or that weird rubbery texture so many unfortunately have….this is my new yogurt, and the first one I have liked in the four years since I became dairy-intolerant.
mix plain with a yogurt you love
I bought a 24oz tub of the plain a couple months ago (that’s all our store offered). I liked that it had a firm consistency, several cultures, tartness and no added sugar, but I wasn’t crazy about the taste. I didn’t want to waste the whole tub so I mixed it with a yogurt I like (silk strawberry) and have been eating it that way every day since. You don’t taste the off flavor when it’s mixed with something else. The mix tastes closer to dairy yogurt and has less sugar overall. Love it!
