Springfield Creamery, the makers of Nancy’s Probiotic Foods, is a family owned Eugene, Oregon company that was founded in 1960. They are dedicated to their dairy product lines, but have also catered to dairy-free customers for years. Their Soy Yogurt was discontinued a few years ago, but they replaced it with a full range of non-dairy Nancy’s Oatmilk Yogurt. And this summer, they’ve decided to completely revamp their oatmilk line. It has a new look and a brand new recipe, with several ingredient changes.
Nancy’s Oatmilk Yogurt Transitions to All New Formula and Packaging
What are the changes in Nancy’s Oatmilk Yogurt? The company swapped the faba bean protein for chickpea protein, down-sized ever so slightly from 6 ounces to the standard 5.3 ounce singles (the multi-serves are still the same size), increased the coconut oil for a richer (and higher fat) consistency, and replaced the agar with gellan gum for thickening. But don’t worry, it’s still dairy-free and soy-free, contains live and active cultures, and has 30 to 50% less sugar than the leading plant-based yogurts (and many dairy yogurts).

More Allergen Notes
These yogurts are made without top allergens, and do not have a “may contain” statement for any allergens. The container we purchased actually had dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free, and soy-free listed right on the package. However, they are made on shared equipment with dairy (we’re assuming yogurt). They do not specify certified gluten-free oats on the ingredients online, but it looks like they do on the containers. Double check in store and with the company, if needed.

It doesn't taste good
I purchased this as a replacement for dairy plain yogurt but the taste is not there. It was a waste of my money. I even tried to sweeten it and add other ingredients to maybe fix it, it still doesn’t taste good.
Vanilla is great!
Better than milk yogurt. I love it so much. Great texture and flavor and not too much sugar. The best thing is I don’t get mucous. I prefer it to soy yogurt as well. Yum.
Gross
Tasted like glue and rancid milk.
Seemingly Rancid
Looked slightly brown, had chunks, smelled like feet, sour off taste.
Terrible terrible product
Wow, I purchased this on a whim, not knowing anything about it. I was totally grossed out by the texture, and forget the taste, I tried to add flavor to the plain and still needed to throw it away.
Great non dairy, low sugar breakfast
I bought a few of these earlier in the day and was worried after reading these reviews. The next day, I scooped the yogurt in a bowl, added sliced strawberries and blueberries and a sprinkle of sweet granola. It was delicious!! Is this the best non dairy yogurt I’ve had?!No! But it’s the best that I’ve had without a ton of added sugar. Yes, it’s a little sour and it’s an adjustment from the traditional American yogurt packed with added sugar. It has a similar flavor to other unsweetened yogurts or unsweetened Greek yogurt.
Nasty, watery, and sour
The plain yogurt was nasty. Came here looking for answers as to why it tastes so sour and runny. I see other people feel the same way. Tried it with honey, and still disgusting.
Great Fruit Flavors
I’ve had the strawberry hibiscus, and blueberry flavors and have loved them. There is a very slight oat-y flavor, but hardly noticeable to me, and for the most part tastes like normal dairy yogurt. I have to watch my added sugar intake, so these have been a great option for me as the flavored versions have less sugar than their competitors. I would suggest giving the flavored versions a try.
taste of gone bad
I agree with previous reviews, that the plain yoghurt tastes simply bad, like gone bad milk, very sour and its color is slightly brown which enhances the effect of something gone bad, I do not recommend it
Horrifying
I got the plain flavor and I swear it was spoiled milk. I know it’s made with oat milk but what IS THAT STUFF. It was truly a horrific experience and tasted rancid. What the heck!
