    Navitas Naturals Coconut Chips (DISCONTINUED)

    2
By Alisa Fleming on May 25, 2015 Discontinued Products, Product Reviews

Navitas Organics has discontinued most of their snack foods, but they still make Navitas Superfood Powders. You might also like Bare Coconut Chips, which are still available.

Months ago, I had a wee little sampling of the new Navitas Naturals Coconut Chips in Caramel and proclaimed them one of my top new Expo West finds.

This week, I had the opportunity to enjoy a second, full sampling of these coconutty noshes. Including the other new flavors, too. All three smack of indulgence yet have the simplest, most wholesome ingredient list possible. In fact, they each have just 3 to 6 everyday ingredients (total!) with no preservatives or funny business.

Tasting Notes for Navitas Naturals Coconut Chips

Here was our take on each flavor:

Navitas Naturals Coconut Chips - Three dairy-free flavors (Caramel, Cacao, Chili Lime) - all vegan, gluten-free, indulgent and wholesome!

    Chili Lime (shown back right)

Though the heat is tame, the flavor of these Navitas Naturals coconut chips is wild! The first few tastes were a little shocking at first, but this statement variety quickly became an addiction. The super limey, slightly soft coconut flakes were lightly buttery. The pleasant chili spice compliments, but can’t compete with the strong citrus notes.

    Cacao (shown back left)

Since Navitas Naturals focuses on the power of superfoods, I expected these bites to be dominant with full strength cacao. Instead, these lightly crunchy flakes clustered ever so slightly into dessert-like semi-sweet morsels that somehow retained the pure goodness of cacao.

    Caramel (shown front center)

Admittedly still my favorite of the Navitas Naturals coconut chips. This 3-ingredient (just coconut, coconut nectar and sea salt!), ever-so-slightly sticky, clustered treat is so simple, yet so sweet, comforting and complex.
