Oatly Wows with No Cow Oatmilk that No One Can Forget

By Alisa Fleming on February 24, 2021 Dairy-Free Milk Substitute Reviews, Product Reviews

Any press is good press, especially when it’s cheap, as Oatly proved in their much talked about Super Bowl Ad this year. Some thought Oatly bombed, but their “Wow No Cow” song did exactly what it was supposed to – get people’s attention. Personally, I thought it was genius. If you can’t afford the big name actors and special effects, go in the opposite direction – stand out with a notably low budget, off the wall ad. The marketing team at Oatly even wisely released “I Totally Hated That Oatly Commercial” T-shirts on the same day as the ad, which immediately sold out.

And their ad reminded me that I still hadn’t added Oatly Oatmilk to our product section! We have their Oatgurt and Oat Ice Cream up, but we had forgotten about their founding product line. If you can’t hear it in the CEO’s voice (yes, that video really is Toni Petersson, their CEO, singing a tune he wrote) Oatly is a Swedish-based company. They’ve been around since 1990s, but they didn’t enter the US market until 2016. And they’ve struggled to gain attention in the U.S., until now.

Below are details on Oatly Oatmilk sold in the U.S. The exact ingredients might vary slightly between countries, but we’ve been told the taste is quite similar. Be sure to leave your rating and review below if you’ve tried it.

    Additional Allergen Notes*

Oatly shared the following allergen details:

Our US products are certified gluten-free and made without tree nuts, peanuts, dairy, and egg. They are safe for people with allergies to the top eight allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, gluten and soy).

Some of our partner production facilities also process other products that contain these allergens. However, they are committed to careful cleaning and testing protocols to prevent cross-contamination. In cases where Oatly products may have been run on the same production line as other products containing top eight allergens, we also test our finished products to ensure that they are safe for people with top eight allergies.

    OATLEY MILKS are DELICIOUS!

    Rated 5 out of 5
    March 1, 2021

I think Oatley milks are rich and creamy tasting. The full fat version, (darkest blue color) is my favorite for cereals. The barista edition is my favorite for no dairy coffee cream!
