So Delicious Dairy-Free Shreds are Making Many People Say Cheese

We were all smiles when we enjoyed a big plate of nachos with a smattering of this dairy-free cheese alternative. It wasn’t perfect, but it was pleasurable. And the three vegan varieties show promise as a garnish on several dishes.

Mozzarella

Add a light sprinkle of this cheese on to finish any pizza or even lasagna. It has a decent “melt” and adds a nice cheesy flavor when used in moderation.

They claim this one is great on nachos, but we always pick up the Cheddar Jack for nachos instead. Nonetheless, this popular flavor has the most cheese punch per bite.

Cheddar Jack

We’ve bought this one a few times for making nachos because we like that it’s cut into finer shreds than the other versions. And it does have a nice flavor when used with a light hand. In our opinion, less is more with most dairy-free cheese alternatives. When heated, it doesn’t look fully melted, but the mouthfeel is melty and the consistency is a little stretchy.

What Others Are Saying ...

Might return for the Mozza

We tried the Cheddar Jack on nachos and it wasn’t bad at all, but didn’t melt well and didn’t add as much flavor as hoped. We tried the Mozzarella on pizza (on the sauce, under loads of toppings) and it melted surprisingly well (not sure it would have if sprinkled on top though). The flavor was pretty good (enjoyed by two cheese eaters), but a little mild. We used quite a bit, and could definitely taste it, but if you use a light sprinkle, the flavor might get lost.

They’re called So Delicious for a reason! They melt well and taste fantastic!

The cheddar shreds make amazing nachos! Some vegan cheese tastes funny melted, but this one tastes great.

Why make a decent product and leave one of the Big Four Allergens in it — CORN
Milk-Wheat-Corn-Soy!!!!!

Decent option, but won't buy again

It’s tasty cold, and melts great, but therein lies the problem. As soon as it melts, it seems to lose all that cheesy flavor. Might as well save yourself the money and just add extra salt. I’d choose Daiya cheese over this because the only things I typically use a cheese substitute for are enchiladas, nachos, paninis, and Mac & Cheese.

Not even close as good as Daiya.

The Cheddar was ok

As far as non dairy cheese shreds go the cheddar one was decent. I haven’t been able to find them since, I only seem to find Daiya or Go Veggie and both are not good. I’d love to try the other flavors of So Delicious
