Silk Oat Yeah Oatmilkgurt is a Mouthful of Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free Yogurt

Updated in 2021 with formula change! I posted about So Delicious Oatmilk Yogurt last week, but Danone actually launched Silk Oat Yeah Oatmilkgurt first. The company says it was a “natural next step” after the launch of Silk Oat Yeah Oatmilk earlier this year.

This dairy-free oatmilk yogurt is made from a creamy combination of gluten-free oats and live and active cultures, and it’s available in four somewhat common flavors. The ingredients are also a bit familiar. If you look closely, you’ll notice that they’re nearly identical to the So Delicious Oatmilk Yogurt. So if you’re a fan of one brand, it’s probable that you will like the other.

Silk Oat Yeah Oatmilkgurt Review and Information - Vegan and gluten-free certified, dairy-free oatmilk yogurt

Silk Oat Yeah Oatmilkgurt is a Mouthful of Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free Yogurt

We are a but puzzled by all of the cutesy and confusing names on this Silk product. The “Oat Yeah” label makes me think of the Kool-aid man, which doesn’t seem like the best association for a plant-based brand. The term “Oatmilkgurt” sounds like a Swedish product at IKEA, and calling each flavor “The XXX One” is just, well, a little weird. We’d love it if they just called it Silk Oatmilk Yogurt in Vanilla, Mixed Berry, Strawberry, and Mango, but apparently simplicity is boring.

Hopefully they spent as much time perfecting the formula for this product as they did creating the name. But you be the judge! We have the product details here and a place for you to leave your own rating and review below once you’ve tried Silk Oat Yeah Oatmilkgurt (say that five times fast!).

    Just awful

I enjoy all kinds of dairy free yogurt. Soy, almond, coconut (my favorite but I treat it as a splurge since it’s higher in saturated fat) and I was excited to try oat milk yogurt. I was especially happy to see it only had 80 calories. So I bought one of my favorite flavors, vanilla. The color was off-putting, a beige-y grey, but I could have overlooked that. The main problem was that it just sort of tasted like bland somewhat vanilla flavored slime. Maybe the fruit flavors are more appealing both visually and flavor-wise but I don’t think I can bring myself to try another. Unfortunately, I bought 3 and I can’t convince anyone else in the house to eat them.
I may try to mask it with fruit and granola which will of course make the fact that a container is only 80 calories a bit pointless.
I’m not saying don’t try it. You might feel differently. Just don’t buy more than one at first.

I just tried the strawberry (have the berry for tommorow) but the flavor is by far the best dairy free yogurt I have ever had! Really good and very filling.
