What Dairy-Free Yogurt Do You Recommend for Popsicles?
I personally get the So Delicious Coconut Milk Yogurt tubs. They’re larger, affordable, and the yogurt in them has always been consistently good, in my opinion. It also works well in recipes. If you want creamier and higher probiotic lime yogurt popsicles, I’d use a richer brand, like Cocojune or Culina. See our Best Dairy-Free Yogurt Guide for more recommended brands with various bases.
How Many Single Yogurts Do I Need for 1 Cup?
Each 5.3-ounce dairy-free yogurt has about 2/3 cup in it. So you need 1 1/2 yogurt single serves for 1 cup. I you’re using 4 ounce containers, then you’ll need two.
Do the Probiotics in Yogurt Survive Freezing?
According to studies, the the probiotics in yogurt will survive in your freezer for at least a few weeks without any notable decline.
How Many Limes Do I Need for 1/2 Cup of Lime Juice?
My niece was on juicing duty, and quickly learned the importance of finding the juiciest limes. On our first batch, just two juicy limes produced the full 1/2 cup. But with more anemic limes, she juiced for 20 minutes and powered through about 5 limes to get the 1/2 cup.
Can I Use Different Citrus?
Definitely! Key limes, lemons, and Meyer lemons can all be used instead of regular limes in this recipe. We also like orange or tangerine dairy-free yogurt popsicles. If you fruit is sweet, you might want to add less sweetener. If both your fruit and yogurt are sweet, you might not need any sweetener at all. So be sure to taste test as you go.
