Recently, I shared the 15 Best Dairy-Free Ice Cream Pints. I couldn’t just do a post on “dairy-free frozen desserts” as a whole because there are just too many! So today I’m covering the best dairy-free ice cream bars.
These creamy treats are single-serve frozen desserts with so many purposes. Put them on ice at your next barbecue for an easy self-serve dessert. Have the school stock a box so your milk allergic kid can join in during ice cream socials. Or simply keep them on hand for slumber parties, after school treats, or your own grown-up indulgence. There’s no need for anyone to miss out!
The Best Dairy-Free Ice Cream Bars
These are the unbiased favorites of our tasting staff and many of our readers who have left their own ratings on our Dairy-Free Ice Cream Novelty Reviews.
So Delicious Dipped Cashewmilk Ice Cream Bars
Everything in the So Delicious Cashew Ice Cream line up is incredible, and these dairy-free ice cream bars are no exception. Their super-creamy, sweet cashewmilk ice cream is wrapped in a perfectly thick and crispy chocolate shell. These dreamy indulgences will make a dairy-free believer out of any hardcore dairy fan.
- Base: Cashewmilk
- Key Dietary Notes*: These contain tree nuts, but are vegan and made without dairy, eggs, gluten, peanuts, and soy.
- Availability: United States
Haagen Dazs Non-Dairy Bars
Two of their wonderful pint flavors were wrapped in chocolate and put on a stick for these marvelous treats. If you like the non-dairy ice cream, you will love these decadent dairy-free ice cream bars. Believe me, my husband and I do – he loves the Coconut Caramel and I can’t get enough of the Peanut Butter Fudge.
- Base: Coconut Cream or Peanuts (based on the flavor)
- Key Dietary Notes*: These are vegan and made without dairy, eggs, and gluten. The ice cream filling is soy-free, but the chocolate coating does contain soy lecithin.
- Availability: United States and Canada
Daiya Ice Cream Bars
I had the chance to sample hand-dipped prototypes of these allergy-friendly, dairy-free ice cream bars a few years ago. They were delicious. I was excited when they finally hit stores, and read about so many people loving them as much as I did. I’ve only sampled the Classic Vanilla Bean, but they have four flavors, and I’ve heard the Chocolate Fudge Crunch is tops.
- Base: Coconut Cream
- Key Dietary Notes*: All Daiya products are made free of the top allergens, including dairy, eggs, gluten, peanuts, tree nuts, and soy. And they are vegan.
- Availability: United States and Canada
Goodpops
This virtuous popsicle company expanded into creamy dairy-free pops, including Chocolate Fudge, Coconut Lime, Cookies ‘n Cream and Orange ‘n Cream. The latter is just like a vegan version of creamsicles.
- Base: Coconut Cream
- Key Dietary Notes*: They’re gluten-free and made without top allergens, except the Cookies ‘n Cream gluten-free cookies contain soy lecithin.
- Availability: United States
Magnum Non-Dairy Ice Cream Bars
These rich, ice cream bars have taken the U.S. and Europe by storm. They have a very thick outer chocolate coating and dense, creamy filling. The ingredients and taste vary between countries, but have similar decadence. Also, in the UK they are called “Vegan” while in the US they are called “Non-Dairy,” but these are vegan and dairy-free by ingredients in all countries. Magnum is a Unilever brand, like Ben & Jerry’s.
- Base: Coconut Oil and Pea Protein
- Key Dietary Notes*: This is one of the few dairy-free ice cream bars that contain wheat (glucose-fructose syrup).
- Availability: United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, and Finland
Coconut Bliss Frozen Desset Bars
I wasn’t expecting to, but I fell hard for the Raspberry Acai flavor of these dairy-free ice cream bars. It’s rare that a fruit-chocolate combination wins me over, but this was indeed blissful. The other flavors are also intense and tasty, but the underlying coconut shines through a bit more. The flavors wrapped in chocolate edged out their “naked” dairy-free ice cream bars for us. But that doesn’t make these any less delicious. The “naked” bars are basically Coconut Bliss Ice Cream on a stick. So you can expect smooth, intensely rich flavors.
- Base: Organic Coconut Milk
- Key Dietary Notes*: This is one of the only Certified Organic brands. They’re also certified gluten-free and most of the flavors are made without top allergens. Yes, the chocolate coating is soy free! But the Coconut Almond is studded with almond bits, so it isn’t tree nut free.
- Availability: United States and Canada
Sorbabes Ice Cream Bars
At just 120 calories a pop, these were surprisingly satisfying. They have a very crispy chocolate (or lemony white chocolate) shell with quinoa crisps coating a fruity or creamy filling. The flavors are bold and unique.
- Base: Fruit, some use Almond Butter
- Key Dietary Notes*: They’re vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free (yes, no soy lecithin!) , and some varieties are made without top allergens. A couple use almond for creaminess.
- Availability: United States
So Delicious Dipped Coconutmilk Ice Cream Bars
Their classic line of chocolate-covered coconutmilk bars has a loyal following. The naturally creamy centers are enrobed in a perfect semi-sweet chocolate shell for a truly satisfying dessert. But these flavors really are for coconut fans – there is no hiding those tropical hints.
- Base: Organic Coconutmilk
- Key Dietary Notes*: These are made without dairy, eggs, gluten, peanuts, and soy. Yes, the chocolate is free of soy lecithin! But the almond variety is studded with almonds.
- Availability: United States and Canada
Alternate Honorable Mention: So Delicious Almondmilk Ice Cream Bars are also wonderful, but they’s slowly been disappearing from shelves. They only have one flavor left: Mocha Almond Fudge.
Enlightened Dairy-Free Ice Cream Bars
These low sugar bars popped onto our radar recently. Each bar contains around 100 calories or fewer, and is vegan and gluten-free. Nonetheless, many people are addicted to their indulgent-sounding flavors.
- Base: Almondmilk
- Key Dietary Notes*: As noted, this variety is made with almonds, and it also contains coconut oil in the base. But it is made without dairy, eggs, gluten, and soy.
- Availability: United States
Ruby Rockets Better Bars
We had mixed feelings when we first tried these bars. The “Fudge” flavor really did not go over well. And the “healthier” taste of the fruit flavors was a little odd at first. But once I picked up a fruity flavor after a long walk, I was hooked. They have a mellow, rich sweetness that really satisfies when your taste buds are more heightened or if you just prefer treats that are less sweet.
- Base: Coconut Milk
- Key Dietary Notes*: These are made without top allergens, and contain a blend of fruit and vegetable purees and juices. They have no added sugars.
- Availability: United States
Newcomers to the Dairy-Free Ice Cream Bars Scene
They haven’t been out long enough for the critics (you!) to weigh in, but we have high hopes for the following new dairy-free ice cream bars. They might just bump some bars off the list above!
Modern Pop Avocado Ice Cream Bars
This brand is using avocado oil, avocado puree, and other simple ingredients to make creamy Fudge, Mint Chip, and Cookies ‘n Cream flavors.
Kind Frozen Bars
Think Kind Bars meet almondmilk frozen dessert, and you’ll have a good idea about these dairy-free ice cream bars. They’re reportedly a snack-like treat. I guess we’ll just have to find out!

Hi I have buying your delicious So ice cream bars for awhile now , but the last pack i bought had 1 that was half gone
Hi Lori, you will need to contact the brand directly. We’re not affiliated with any of the brands mentioned above.
And what happens when you are allergic to both coconuts and all nuts…. hmmmmm…. isn’t it odd that the most prevalent replacement of one of the most common allergens is, in and of itself, the most common allergen? Food for thought health moms.
Magnum are excellent. I’ll look out for the hagandaz. Ben & Jerrys cherry garcia is also very good.
Indeed! We have Ben & Jerry’s on our best ice cream pint list!
So Delicious cashew milk products are the best of any around. By the pint or the snack bars, I’ll take it any way they serve it. The cashew is what makes it so creamy I think. So much so, and they don’t have that coconut flavor (which is OK, but not always wanted) that coconut milk brings along with its use. Great work, So Delicious. You have a fan for life!
The So Delicious Cashew milk bars…..omg…..the salted caramel ones are so good that I could just keep eating them until I get sick…..hahahhaa….completely delicious and addictive!
My favorites are number one on the list, the So Delicious Cashewmilk Bars. Both flavors are good but the double fudge is my favorite of the two. I just can’t always find it.
I haven’t had the double fudge one in a while. Now I’ll be on a mission to find it too!
I am ADDICTED to those SO DELICIOUS Cashew milk Ice Cream Bars. OMG! I eat one almost every single day! Lol!
Now that is dedication 🙂 Gotta keep the supply going with demand!
I love the So Delicious Cashewmilk Bars! I have to remind myself not to steal them from my daughter’s stash. 🙂
That’s tough. I don’t think I could show restraint 🙂
