OH, Various Locations – Melt Bar and Grilled: Serving Dairy-Free Cheese & Vegan Options

Melt Bar and Grilled may sound like a horror story to us dairy-free folk, but don’t fret! They have dairy-free mozzarella and cheddar cheeses! Many of their unique grilled cheese sandwiches can be made dairy-free or vegan. They even have the options clearly marked on their menu, and the “Melt Bible” with a Dietary Concerns Guide.

Melt Bar and Grilled happily offers many dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan options!

It’s important to Melt that they have delicious meals to fit any dietary restriction, making it easy for the dairy-free, vegetarians, and vegans to enjoy their food worry-free. And yes, they have gluten-free bread available, too. But here is what dairy-free and vegan diners will find:

  • For starters they have Wild Tofu Wings, Fried Pickles, and even Vegan Hangover Fries with vegan “meats,” gravy, and scrambled “eggs.” You can opt to order their regular Hangover Fries with dairy-free cheese substituted if you are “just” dairy-free.
  • They have some Signature Soups that are naturally vegan, like Roasted Garlic Tomato and 4 Bean Vegan Chili. But they also custom make vegan French Onion soup, complete with dairy-free mozzarella.
  • Their vegan salad options are ample, ranging from the Vegan Cowboy to Awesome Noodle #1.
  • Most of their Old Skool Burgers and Gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwiches can be made dairy-free, including the Meatloaf. But they also have a huge selection of vegan options complete with vegan “meats,” vegetables, and dairy-free cheeses.
  • Fresh made kettle chips or French fries (your choice) come with each sandwich order and both are vegan.

Please note that they do use a shared fryer. So any fried items, like the pickles and French fries, do have risk for cross-contamination.

In addition to the comfort food, Melt serves a broad beer selection, wine, and cocktails. They also have a generous happy hour menu with numerous vegan offerings.
