CA (Multiple Locations – Los Angeles Area) – Western Bagel


This bagelry has close to a dozen locations in the greater Los Angeles area, but they also sell their baked goods to stores across the U.S. and via their online store.

Go Dairy Free viewer, Linda, was kind enough to email us with a response that she received from Western Bagel's quality assurance:

"We don’t use dairy in any bagels or egg (except in egg bagels) in our bagels. You might have heard people use an egg wash to get a shine on baked goods, we don’t do that. We boil our bagels before they our baked, this brings starches to the surface and that creates the shine for our bagels."

Alas, they don't have any dairy-free schmeers, but bring your own nut butters and you should be good to go on their baked goodie menu.
