New Allergy-Friendly Bakery Ships Dairy-, Egg-, and Nut-Free Treats


Sweet Alexis Food Allergy-Friendly Baked GoodsSweet Alexis, LLC, has recently opened shop in Los Osos, CA where the company bakes and distributes egg-free, dairy-free, nut-free baked goods to local coffee shops, health food stores, and specialty shops.  Also, available on-line at The company’s product line includes a variety of breads, muffins, and cookies, including banana bread, pumpkin raisin bread, blueberry loaf, and chocolate chip cookies. “This company is about making simple pleasures simple for people with food allergies,” remarks Sweet Alexis founder, Michele Fellows. “Our products are made to be as good, if not better, than the traditional variety, but are safe for people with egg, dairy and nut allergies,” she explains.

Sweet Alexis is named for Fellows’ daughter, Alexis, who was diagnosed with life-threatening food allergies shortly after birth.  She is severely allergic to nearly all of the most common food allergens and until now, has never been able to enjoy the simple pleasure of a fresh baked treat at a local shop.

“I have been dreaming of starting Sweet Alexis ever since my daughter was diagnosed with life-threatening food allergies seven years ago. The fact that we were filling orders within days of getting our permits tells me that the demand is out there,” says Fellows.
