Fat Free Alpine Ice® Now Kosher Certified

Alpine IceMarblehead, Mass. –  There’s now new packaging, a new distributor, and new Kosher certification for Alpine Ice®, the healthy, all-natural, vegan-certified frozen dessert alternative designed for the food-sensitive and perfect for everyone. Alpine Ice® now has bright new packaging that is color coordinated to make it easier for the customer to distinguish all five refreshing  flavors: Bolder Berry, Green Tea Verbena, Hibiscus Rose, Mango Passion, and Plum Lucky.

And, under a new distribution agreement with UNFI (United Natural Foods Inc.), Alpine Ice® is now available for delivery through the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states.

Produced in a Kosher-certified facility and free of major food allergens – no soy, no egg, no wheat, no nut, no dairy – Alpine Ice® has recently earned the K-Shield Kosher certification by the authority of Kosher Technical Konsultants.

Dr. Barry Sears, author of _The Zone_, says that Alpine Ice “ushers in a new era of ‘guiltless pleasure.’ These are foods that you believe you should feel guilty about eating because they have such great taste, yet they are manufactured to deliver incredibly high levels of nutrients known to improve health and wellness. Life can’t get much better than that.”

Each serving of Alpine Ice is just 40 to 60 calories – no fat and low in sugar. The flavors are made with all natural ingredients that are wild-crafted, organic, or sustainably farmed wherever possible. Rather than using the traditional ingredients of cream, sugar or eggs like all other ice creams, sherberts and sorbets, Alpine Ice’s base is made of herbs, fruits and flowers, thereby eliminating any lactose, cholesterol or carbohydrate issues. Only natural, low glycemic ingredients are used. Alpine Ice® is also a good source of dietary fiber, and is free of preservatives, artificial flavors and colors.

Alpine Ice is produced by Mountain Herbal Foods LLC in Massachusetts, and is available in Whole Foods Markets and specialty food shops in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Rhode Island. For more information about Alpine Ice, visit www.mtnherbal.com.
