In honor of March Madness and the Elite 8, your entries must have 8 ingredients or less (not including 4 “free” ingredients: salt, pepper, oil, and water) and meet the eligibility criteria below. We will be judging on appeal, technique, and finally, taste. Enter every category if you wish! Up to 2 entries per category (6 in total) are permitted per entrant.

2. Savory

Entrees, soups, salads, dips, whatever your salty, rich, or spicy taste buds desire. All dairy-free submissions must be 8 ingredients or less (not counting salt, pepper, oil, and water).

3. Video!

A fun knew option for those of you who like to get in front of the camera! Your submission can be sweet or savory (still 8 ingredients or less), we just want to see you make that recipe or share something fun with us about it! Length is up to you, though we recommend 4 minutes or less for the actual video viewing time. We will be judging this category on both the video and the recipe, so have fun with it!

Three recipe categories means three chances to win our Recipe Madness Contest and a total of $1500 in cash grand prizes! The Winner of each category will receive their choice of a $500 Gift Card to Amazon or Whole Foods Market.

We welcome vegan recipes, though dairy-free is the only strict requirement.
  5. The recipe must be your own. So Delicious® Dairy Free and Go Dairy Free / Fleming Marrs Inc. hold no liability for any submitted recipes that are plagiarized. 15. I have so many lovely ones I want to enter, BUT my spices/flavorings alone are more than 8 ingredients! I guess I enjoy good flavor in my dishes. Wish there wasn’t a limit! Are there any other contests without limits on number of ingredients??

    • Hi Sara, we will have one more contest next month! As for the limits – perhaps a spice blend would be up your alley – 5 spice, pumpkin pie spice, etc. Those would be just 1 ingredient and have a lot of natural flavor packed in!

      • So would a home-made “spice blend” be 1 ingredient? or are you talking about a easy to buy commercial blend? (sorry for the questions. I really want to enter!) I’m trying to find my favorite ones that would actually qualify because it would be so fun to enter! I have a few original recipes but many of mine are ‘converted’ or have too many ingredients 🙂

        • No worries Sara! Since you would actually need to blend the spice blend, I think that would count as the ingredients (a store-bought blend would be 1 ingredient, while from scratch would count as individual ingredients since you still have to measure them all out). I’m happy to be a little lenient if we (or you) post the spice blend as a separate recipe (in quantity that you could keep on hand and that works for other recipes, too), and link up to it as a single ingredient.

Every month has a different theme, this one just happens to be Easy with less ingredients 🙂
